Jeff Schellinger, 61, passed away unexpectedly on March 29 2016 due to an accident while repairing a vehicle. Jeff was born on Oct 28, 1954 to Robert and Bernida (Yogerst) Schellinger and grew up near St Lawrence, Wisconsin.
He was united in marriage to Debora Hesprich on May 21, 1977 at St Mary’s Church in Lomira.
He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed camping and traveling. Jeff was very talented in woodworking and building, and often enjoyed helping family build and remodel their homes. Together Jeff and Deb started their business, Schellinger Electric, which he has operated for the last 29 years.
For the past 9 years, he had taken up the hobby of making maple syrup; each year growing larger and improving his technique with the help of his neighbor Ed. He couldn’t wait for sapping time! Jeff loved family gatherings, especially outside roasting a pig and working on projects.
He is survived by his wife Debora, children Becki of Soldotna, Alaska, Tabitha of Newport News, Virginia, Kevin (Christie) of Knowlton, Wisconsin, and Vanessa of West Bend; granddaughter Arica; his mother Bernida Schellinger; 3 brothers and 1 sister Robert (Mary Ann) of Sheboygan, Mary (Fred) Gollash of Naples, FL, John (Barb) of Rubicon and Tim (Laurel) of Appleton; his father-in-law Anthony Hesprich of Lomira; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Linda (Rick) Heinecke of Allenton, Pete (Donna) Hesprich of West Bend, Dan (Julie) Hesprich of Lomira, Nick (Jane) Hesprich of Kewaskum, Paul (Dawn) Hesprich of Fond du Lac, Bob (Janet) Hesprich of Lomria and Mary Jo (Jim) Wendling of Wausau; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert, 1 sister Kathryn and his mother-in-law Mary Ann Hesprich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Inurnment will be Monday in St. Mary’s Cemetery (new). The family will greet relatives and friends during a period of visitation on Friday April 1 at the church only from 5 until 7 p.m. and also Saturday from 9 until 10:15 a.m.
