Obit: Dorothy Jazak, 87

Dorothy O. Jazak (nee Fritz), age 87 years, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at Kathy Hospice.

Dorothy was born on February 2, 1928 in Fond du Lac to Henry and Anita (nee Breuer) Fritz.  Dorothy was raised in Allenton and later married the late Victor “Vic” Jazak on June 22, 1946 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allenton.  The couple moved to West Bend in 1954 and raised their family.  She loved playing the accordion in their polka band: “Vic’s Polkateers”.  Dorothy also enjoyed quilting, baking, cake decorating along with polka dancing and all animals.  She was a member of the Addison Quilting Club.

Dorothy is survived by her children:  Jerome (Joann), James (Sandra), Sharon (Robert)Smith, John (Susan), grandchildren:  Lisa (Preston) Harris, Michael (Kristen) Jazak, Brian (Melanie) Jazak, Ryan (Karla) Jazak, Eric Jazak, Cory (Kristie) Smith, Kevin (Kerry) Smith, Nicole (Brian) Berres, Kelly Isselman, Heidi (Craig) Remich, and Tyler Jazak.  She is further survived by her great-grandchildren:  Hayden, Chloey and Brynn Berres, Evan and Blake Harris, Luke and Abigail Jazak, Hannah Jazak, Eric and Colton Jazak, Madison and Ellie Smith, Caleb and Ava Smith, Carsen Isselman, twins: Madelyn and Makayla Remich, sister Veronica (Leroy) Doll, brother Eugene (Janet) Fritz,  brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, special friend Al Bartelt, other relatives and many friends.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband Vic, son Gerald “Gary”, sister Marilyn Steckbauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini Church (1025 S. 7th Ave., West Bend) on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 with Father Enrique Hernandez presiding.  Interment at Holy Angels Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend on Tuesday, January 12 from 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm with a Prayer Vigil at 6:30 pm.  Continued visitation will be at St. Frances Cabrini on Wednesday, January 13 from 10:00 am until time of mass (11:00 am).
