Jayne Lou Nienhuis (nee Rathke), age 65, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016. Jayne graduated from Grafton High School, in 1969 and from the University of Wisconsin – Stout, in 1973. She worked as a Registered Dietician at St. Elizabeth and Kindred Hospitals, in Dayton, Ohio, retiring in December 2015.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing solitaire, travel, looked forward to “date nights” and loved visiting family. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Rathke; and her father and mother-in-law, Wyba and Mildred Nienhuis.
She is survived by her husband, Marc Nienhuis. They were married nearly 40 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Anna (William “Noah”) Miller; mother, Florence Rathke; sister, Sue (Robert) Bliese; brother, Jon (Chris) Rathke; and many nieces and nephews. Jayne was loved by her family and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, 1 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church (701 Washington St.), in Grafton. The family will receive guests beginning at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
