Feb. 2, 2017 – West Bend, WI – James V. Spott, 88, of West Bend, was called home to heaven on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Ivy Manor in West Bend.
He was born on March 5, 1928, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Frank and Madeline (nee Vaughn) Spott and on June 9, 1951, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Kubera at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
James will fondly be remembered for his love of the outdoors. James and Lorraine traveled and spent their winters in Arizona. While in Wisconsin he loved to garden and most importantly spending time with his family.
Those James leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 65 years, Lorraine; four children, Bryan (Beth) Spott of West Bend, Gwen (Jack) Kanies of Pulaski, Jeffrey Spott of Heartland and Judy (Douglas) Cohenour of Plymouth; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Thomas (Marcia) Kubera.
A Memorial Mass for James will be held at Noon on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N 8th Ave, in West Bend with Rev. Jerry Repenshek officiating.
The Spott family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
Lorraine would like to extend her heartfelt appreciation to her family and all those who helped during this time.
