May 19, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Harvey G. Hollmann, 88, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Kathy Hospice.
Harvey was born on February 20, 1929 in Milwaukee to William and Selma (nee Noah) Hollmann and was raised in Grafton. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Harvey married Lillian (nee Backhaus) on October 10, 1953 at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church in Jackson. He enjoyed camping, bowling and woodworking. Harvey was a member of the Staff Sgt. Henry Gumm Jackson American Legion Post #486 and the Senior bowling league at King Pin Lanes.
Harvey is survived by his wife of 63 years Lillian, children David (Jean), Carol (Mark) Wolfgram, Cindy (Dan) Rennicke, grandchildren Mark (Kristin) Wolfgram, Crystal (Adam) Diels, Elizabeth (Jovan) Arezina, Michael (Erin) Hollmann, Jacob Rennicke, great-grandchildren Lexi, Adam, Charlotte and Logan. Further survived by special cousins Gordon (Ann) Gilbert, Kathleen (Dave) Hafemeister and their children Alayna and Ethan, Kelly (Andy) Gilbert, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Debbie Wendt, son Gary, brother Clarence (Edith), Erv (Dorothy), Larry (Grace), sister Mildred (Bert) Klopp, infant brother Harold.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at David’s Star Ev. Lutheran Church (2750 David’s Star Dr., Jackson, WI 53037) with Rev. Michael A. Woldt and Rev. Kurt Loescher presiding. Interment to follow the service at David’s Star Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church only on Saturday, May 20 from 11 a.m. until time of service (1:00 pm) with a Jackson American Legion #486 walk through at 12:45 p.m.
