April 6, 2018 – West Bend, WI – Harlow S. Stremke, 75, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2018 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on September 8, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI to Harlow and Evelyn (nee Sprader) Stremke. He was a member of the U.S. National Guard.
Harlow worked at the Bradley Corporation for 39 years and retired in 2008. He enjoyed his family time with the kids and grandkids playing cards and an occasional trip to the casino. Harlow was quite the character, he loved to make people laugh. He was a huge Packer, Brewers, Marquette fan and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sports.
Harlow is survived by his wife of 51years, Kathleen (nee Papa); children, Jeffrey (Stacy) Stremke, Lisa Stremke; grandchildren, Jordan, Brittany and Faith Stremke, Kailey and Ava Wornardt; sister, Sandra (Robert) Barzyk; brother-in-law Joel (Mary) Papa, and sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Memmel and Bernadette (Gary) Lisiecki. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Harlow is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Celestine Papa, brother-in-law Neil Memmel.
A Memorial Service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with Deacon Mike Koebel presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
