Obit: Gary Edward Neuenfeld, 70. Gary drove truck for Seeger, operated his own truck and worked 17 years at West Bend & Stone Company.

Jan. 26, 2017 – Gary Edward Neuenfeld, age 70, passed away suddenly at home, on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.  He was born on November 30, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI to Edward Jr. and Lorraine (nee Patzen) Neuenfeld.  Gary was raised in Mequon and graduated from Homestead High School.  Gary married his first wife, Colleen Goldschmidt, September of 1967.  Gary was in the United States Army National Guard from 1965-1972, the 257th artillery-called up for riots in Milwaukee.  He drove truck for Seeger, operated his own truck and worked 17 years at West Bend & Stone Company.  On July 16, 2005 he married Joy (nee Garbisch, Haack).

Gary was a member of St. John Lutheran Church (New Fane) and of the PEP (People Enjoy People) Club.  He enjoyed going on cruises to Alaska, Hawaii, Panama Canal, New Zealand and Australia.   He also traveled with motor coaches down the western US coast, Niagara Falls, Louisiana, Opryland.  He loved traveling with friends and living on the lakes.  Gary enjoyed car shows and collecting eagle memorabilia.

Gary is survived by his wife, Joy, of 11 years; children Matthew (Traci) Neuenfeld, daughter-in-law Kris; step-children Cynthia (Bryant) Borland, Jeffrey (Ann) Haack, Connie (David) Rogne, Wendy (Ricky) Kreif; grandchildren Jeremy (Hannah Van Ooyen), Jake (Mikayla Kirchner), Jaden, Kyle and Olivia; step-grandchildren Rachel, Russel (Kayla) Borland, Tyler, Jessica, Stephany Haack, Tony (Amanda) Haack, Travis Rogne, Matthew and Samantha Kirst; great-step-grandchildren Jayda, Bryce, Lyncoln and Miller Haack and Jade Borland; sisters Mari (Robert) Schmidt, Julie (Joel) Remberg; sister-in-laws Janet (Ivan) Kumrow and Joan (John) Schlicht.  He is further survived by Kelly Berres, nieces, nephews, other relatives and traveling companions.

Gary is preceded in death by his first wife, Colleen, who passed away in 2003, sons Michael and Mark Neuenfeld, his parents, brother Edward Neuenfeld III, brother-in-laws Leroy Peterson Jr. and Charles (Beverly) Garbisch.

A Funeral Service will be Monday, January 30, 2017 at 6 PM at St. John Lutheran Church (N683 County Rd S, Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Rev. Mark Eckert presiding.  Visitation will be at church from 3:00PM until the time of the service (6:00PM).  Entombment will be at 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Wisconsin Memorial Park.  Memorials are appreciated to St. John Lutheran Church (New Fane).
