Obit: Frances M. Spuhler (nee Seavecki), 90, of Hartford. She volunteered at the St. Vincent Store for 25 years

Dec. 1, 2016 – Hartford, WI – Frances M. Spuhler (nee Seavecki) age 90 of Hartford (formerly Omro), Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Pavilion of Glacier Valley in Slinger.

Frances was born on April 9, 1926 in Custer, WI to Peter and Pearl (nee Landowski) Seavecki. She was united in marriage to Robert P. Spuhler on September 9, 1950 at St. Thomas Church in the Town of Poygan (Winnebago County), WI.  She volunteered at the St. Vincent Store for 25 years, and also volunteered for the St. Kilian Church rummages. Frances enjoyed gardening, stamp collecting, sewing, ceramics and other crafts. She also enjoyed collecting nutcrackers and older Christmas ornaments.

Frances is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Robert Spuhler; loving children, William (Annette) of Sedona, AZ, Steven of Brookfield, Elizabeth (Bob) of Hartford, Daniel (Jeanine) of Iron River, and Christine (Vinko) of North Barrington, IL; cherished grandchildren, Sam and Russell Dorn, Gabriela Escalante, and Nathaniel Spuhler; cherished great grandchild, Tanner Dorn; dear siblings, Edward (Joyce) Seavecki, Cecelia Tetzloff, Susan Willing, and Irene Jaccard; and dear siblings-in-law, Dorothy Conrardy and Robert Ryf. She is further survived by many loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Royal “Roy” and Cordula “Cora” (nee Strobel) Spuhler; siblings, Rosemary Ryf, Marge (Ed) Dawicki, Violet (John) Strosin, Florence (Bob) Dumke, Wallace Ebner, and George (Delores) Seavecki; brothers-in-law, Earl Jaccard, Ray Tetzloff, and Willard Willing; siblings-in-law, Earl (Pat), Howard (Margaret), and Burnell (Marie), and Russell (Marion) Spuhler.

A Memorial Service for Frances will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at 12 p.m. NOON at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027) with Fr. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Inurnment in St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Kilian Catholic Church (428 Forest St. Hartford, WI 53027), The Hartford History Room (100 Park Avenue Hartford, WI 53027), or to The Center for Autism Research (3401 Civic Center Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19104) are greatly appreciated.
