Obit: Former Assembly Rep. Mickey Lehman

 

August 8, 2017 – Hartford, WI –  Michael A. Lehman “Mickey” passed away on August 7, 2017 with family at his side. He is survived by his wife, companion, and best friend Pamela (VanDerel). He is the proud father of DeAnn (Cathy), David (Michelle), and Darcy (Jon) Hayden; stepchildren Bryanna Bell and Brennan Brown. He is further survived by grandchildren Kyle Lehman, Brianna Lehman, Kya Hayden, and Malia Hayden. Mickey is also survived by other family, relatives, and friends.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents Ansel and Lorraine Lehman, brother Kermit, sister, Faye (Wolter), and grandson Tyler Lehman.

Mickey would like to thank everyone for their support and express his gratitude in being allowed to serve 8 terms (16 years) in the Wisconsin State Assembly, 2.5 years with the Department of Revenue as Administrator of State and Local Finance, Lastly, serving on the Miller Park Stadium Board for 12 years.

Mickey shared; “Appreciate the opportunities God provides you throughout life, and enjoy every day! I SURE DID!”

Family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027) followed by a celebration of Mickey where we invite family and friends to share stories.

The family would like to thank the medical teams at Froedtert Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital of West Bend for their compassion and care. A special thank you to Hometown Hospice staff, especially Becky Bohn, Mickey’s hospice nurse and niece.

  1. Dave,Michelle and family, so very sorry for your loss. Never knew your dad but if he is anything like you Dave he is a wonderful warm and caring man. Knowing you as I did thru Real Eastate as a home inspector and Radon Midigator you always were and are the best. So very sorry for your loss. You always put your family first and I can see how and why. Great family values.
