Dorothy was born in Milwaukee, WI to George and Ella Sigmund on June 13, 1927. She married Robert Eifler on June 25, 1949 and they had four children. Dorothy was a stay-at-home mom for many years and then went to work at Treasure Island Department Store where she worked for eight years. She married Howard Fischer on November 13, 1982 and they lived in Mequon, WI.

Dorothy worked at her brother’s place of business, The Lumbershed in Mequon for 9 years. She and Howard moved to Cedar Ridge in West Bend in 1992 and Dorothy worked in the office there for 10 ½ years. She truly enjoyed her job and especially enjoyed all the residents at Cedar Ridge. Throughout her marriage to Howard she enjoyed all the music Howard played for her and all of their “music friends.” She enjoyed his collections and riding in the Model T that he restored.
