Obit: Deborah “Deb” J. Duenkel, 51, of Kewaskum

Nov. 11, 2016 – Kewaskum, WI – Deborah “Deb” J. Duenkel, 51, of Kewaskum, entered eternal life on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk after a courageous battle with cancer.

Deb was born on June 19, 1965, the daughter of the late Harold and Adeline (nee Kutz) Bath in West Bend and on July 2, 2005, she was united in marriage to Raymond “Ray” Duenkel at their home.

Deb was employed by Serigraph for 25 years as a press operator retiring in 2008 and worked at the Kewaskum School District as an assistant cook.

Deb enjoyed researching her family’s genealogy and was very organized in doing so as she was in all her tasks.   She loved camping, crafting, gardening and Girls Day Out.  Deb’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Those Deb leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of  11 years Ray; two children, Melissa “Missy” Mirenda of Madison and Matthew “Matt” Shoppach of Kewaskum; three step-children, Gina Duenkel of Grafton, Trista (John) Raebel of Saukville and Tonya (Daniel) Rogers of Eden; a sister, Connie (Rich) Marks of Germantown; a brother, Steven Bath of Kewaskum; two sisters-in-law, Betty (Vince) Janz of Adell and June Duenkel of West Bend; two brothers-in-law, Richard “Richie” Duenkel of West Bend and Jim (Mary) Duenkel of West Bend; a special canine companion, Freddie, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents Deb was preceded in death by a sister, Susan (Ralph) Seefeld.

A Celebration of Life for Deb will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 215 Forest Ave. in Kewaskum with Rev. Joseph Brath Officiating. A private family Inurnment will be held at a later date.

The Duenkel family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of celebration.

The Duenkel family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the Kramer Cancer Center, ICU and St. Joseph’s Hospital for the wonderful care they provided to Deb.  We love you all very much!
