Feb. 7, 2017 – West Bend, WI – D. “Dan” Dolde, 88, of West Bend, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum.
Dan was born on November 19, 1928, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of the late Frank and Martha (Coddens) Dolde. On February 6, 1954, he was united in marriage to Jean Roggeman in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Dan was an avid golfer and loved traveling. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and all kinds of sports. When Dan first moved to West Bend he played slow pitch and basketball and coached little league in West Bend. Dan was an engineer at the West Bend Company for 32 years. Dan and Jean wintered in Gulf Shores for many years.
Those Dan leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 63 years, Jean; a daughter, Nancy (Donny) Ihlenfeld of Phillips; a brother, Bill (Rochelle) Dolde of Edwardsburg, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Georgeann Gierkey of Mishawaka, Indiana, and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Dolde; a sister, Mary Cenkush and a sister-in-law, Virginia Dylejko.
A visitation for Dan and Jeff Dolde will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend.
