March 13, 2018 – Lomira, WI – Clarence J. “Jim” Heimerl Jr., 86, of Lomira, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Harbor Haven Health and Rehab.
Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA., on May 9, 1931, the son of the late Clarence Sr. and Elsie Heimerl (nee Klink). He graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee in 1950 and married the love of his life, Donna Kaczmarek at St. Mary of Czestochowa on June 19, 1954. Jim became a printer in the mid 1950’s and worked at Dosie and Johnson and C Graphics.
At C Graphics, he received many awards, including Outstanding Workmanship. He retired on April 19, 1996.
For 16 years, Jim played baseball in the Rock River League where he played first baseman and was elected into the Rock River League Hall of Fame in 2006. He was also part of many bowling leagues and Knights of Columbus. Jim was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and sang in the choir for many years. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers-in-law, Bob and Jerry. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
Those Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 63 years, Donna; daughter, Mary (Ed) Roth; granddaughters, Shannon and Allison Roth; sisters, Joann Hanson and Jeanne (Howie) Gilbert; brother, Ron (Renee) Heimerl; and sister-in-law, Judy Heimerl. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald, Eddie, and Bill; infant sister, Louise; and brother-in-law, Bob Hanson.
A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Jim will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 699 Milwaukee St, Lomira, WI 53048. Jim’s family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will immediately follow the mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
