June 15, 2017 – Barbara Jean Baldus (nee Bell), born to eternal life on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Joseph Baldus for 64 years. Loving mother of Jim (Pam), Ellie Bartz (Greg), Jack (Tim Davis), Betty Gunn (Dave Neuman), Peter (Karen) and Joe (Missy). Proud grandma of Amie, Danie, Ben, and Jenni and great-grandma of Jimmy, Summer, and Lenny.
Barbara was a tireless homemaker, a gracious hostess, a valuable business partner to Joe and a faithful server in the church and community. She was a gracious and elegant lady with a bright smile.
She put her whole heart into making their home in Elm Grove and Wautoma, a place where all are welcome. She was very active in her church, focusing on young-adult activities, her children’s school, the Elm Grove Women’s Club and the Waushara County Homemakers, where her leadership and compassion shined. In 1982, she and Joe founded Baldus Associates, Construction Administrators until their retirement in 2000.
Visitation from 6:00PM until 7:45PM on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, WI 53095) with a Vigil Service at 7:45PM. A second visitation will be at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N. 8th Ave. West Bend, WI 53095) Friday, June 23, 2017 from 9:30AM until 10:45AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00AM, at church, with Father Patrick Heppe and Father Bernie Sipple presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Maryknoll Sisters, House of Peace, St. Ben’s Meal Program, Fr. Gene’s Help Center and/or the charity of your choice.
