Obituary | Norman “Norm” R. Hughes, 68, of Lomira

September 21, 2020 – Lomira, WI – Norman “Norm” R. Hughes, 68, of Lomira passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at his home.

He was born on Jan 21, 1952 to the late Doran and Theresa (nee Arbrc) Hughes in Kenosha, WI. Norm grew up in Kenosha and graduated from Temper High School. He worked as a mechanic for McDevitt’s for 10 years and went on to work for the Police Department as a supervisor, retiring in 2007. ‘

He also owned Norm’s Bar for 18 years while working at the Police Dept. Norm had two children with his first wife, Debbie Wendt.

On January 1, 2006 he was united in marriage to Kathy Nichols. He was a big Green Bay Packer fan and loved riding his Harley-Davidson. Norm loves people and could talk to anybody. He was a gentle and kind person. He will be missed by all who new him.

Those Norm leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Kathy Hughes; two children, Mandy Hughes and Adam (Sara) Hughes; two step children, Brenda (Reno) Trijillo and Michelle (Fiancé Teej Laird) Randall; four grandchildren, Kailey, Devon, Hannah, and Julianna; four step grandchildren, Haley, Emily, Lyla, and Jaiden; a brother, Howard Hughes; a sister-in-law, Kimmy; two brothers-in-law, Billy and Mike; mother-in-law, Joyce Nicholas; other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved dog Jake.

A private service will be held for Norman Hughes.

Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Norm’s arrangements.
