Hartford, WI – Noel Baertlein, 85, of Hartford, Wisconsin (formerly Rubicon), passed away in the comfort of his home and within the love of his family on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
Noel was born March 12, 1939, in Menomonee Falls, WI to Paula (nee Ehley) and Gilbert Baertlein. He graduated Hartford Union High School, class of 1957 and went on to serve our country in the United States Army during the Cuban Crisis.
 He was united in marriage to Dorothy T. Ahrens on September 12, 1966 in Box Elder, South Dakota. Noel was a beekeeperand worked for Honey Acres of Ashippun and was a lifelong member of the Wisconsin Beekeepers Association.
Noel is survived by his loving daughter, Michele (Tom) Jackett of Hubertus and cherished grandchildren, Erika and Nolan. He is further survived by his sister, Paulette Marx of Hartford, dear life partner, Shirley Fischer and her extended family, among other loved relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Dorothy; Â brothers, Alan (Florence), John (Shirley), Daniel (Clara) Baertlein and sister Joan (Frederick) Karrow; parents-in-law, Michael and Regina (nee Mager) Ahrens; and brother-in-law, Keith Marx.
Memorial Service for Noel will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, 12 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union Street, Hartford, WI 53027, with Rev. David LaPlante officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. -11:45 a.m.
