Nobody injured following house fire in Village of Richfield

April 20, 2017 – Richfield, WI – On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at approximately 1:37 p.m., a concerned citizen notified the Washington County Sheriff’s Office of smoke coming from the roof vents of a home located at 4050 Woodview Drive in the Village of Richfield.

Sheriff’s Office Deputies and firefighters from the Richfield Fire Department were subsequently dispatched to the scene. Assistance was also requested from Lisbon, Jackson, Slinger and Hartford Fire Departments.

Upon their arrival, Deputies and Richfield firefighters observed smoke coming from attic area of the residence. Firefighters were quickly able to bring the fire under control, but the home sustained a minor amount smoke and water damage.

No one was home at the time of the incident. It is estimated the home sustained $30,000 in damage.

The matter remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, however the cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
