New entries for upcoming Allenton Parade

Capturefjjjj

This year the Allenton Parade on Sunday, August 21, will feature a few new entries including the Radio Rosies.

This is a group of ladies that meet every Honor Flight and sing songs to greet them.  The Radio Rosies, a USO-style trio formed in 2013, perform regularly around the Milwaukee area with their fabulous back-up band from BtW Productions. The Rosies (Catherine, Heather, and Elizabeth) are passionate about singing and dancing in the style of the classic female vocal trios of the Greatest Generation – the Andrews Sisters, the McGuire Sisters, and more.

There will also be some very interesting animals in the parade from the Strobl Farms in Monches including a camel, donkey, alpaca and more.  Parade organizers are looking for a volunteer young person to ride on the camel. If you have a child or grandchild interested please put their name on a slip paper and put in an envelope posted on the board in the D.C. Office.

Last new to the parade this year will be the Little Super Truck.  It may be small, but it is powerful.  The truck was built and is operated by TJ Howell from Rocket Cycle, which performs daily at the Tommy Bartlett Show in Wisconsin Rapids.
