Crews from Janke General Contractors will work to place a new pedestrian bridge over the Milwaukee River this week.
According to plans the bridge will have a concrete deck with prefabricated steel trusses that will be painted white.
The former Ziegler Bridge took a bit more than a week to remove. The new pedestrian bridge extends from Service Drive over the Milwaukee River.
The truss bridge will connect Main Street and Vest Park in downtown West Bend to the east side of the river, Veterans Avenue and the Museum of Wisconsin Art.
