May 15, 2020 – Washington Co., WI – UPDATE: Butler Police dispatch said they are currently involved in a situation and the shelter in place is only for the Butler area. Dispatch confirmed “there is a police situation.”
Anyone receiving the text will receive an update when the situation is resolved.
Neighbors across Washington County are questioning a text message received around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, May 15, 2020 with instructions to ‘shelter in place.’ There initially was no attached source. Now a second message has been received noting the Bulter Police Department in neighboring Waukesha County is involved in an incident. See post below dated May 15, 2020.
Calls have been placed to West Bend Police and Washington County Sheriff to see if more information is available.
