The atmosphere at Thrivent Financial on Paradise Drive in West Bend rivaled the ‘old school’ paper drives as vehicle after vehicle and truck after truck pulled up to drop off boxes and bags of items for shredding.
It was Thrivent’s inaugural ‘Shred Fest’ and judging by the turnout the 2nd annual event can’t come fast enough.
“We haven’t slowed down since I started,” said Bill Hinckley.
The staff and volunteers from Thrivent Financial worked in cooperation with Iron Mountain Secure Shredding to unload personal items and paperwork and then prep it for shredding.
While the event was free, donations were collected for Support the Troops Wisconsin.
A final total on the amount of items collected and number of pounds shredded will be reported shortly.
A huge thanks for everyone who participated and donated.
