Name released of man who died following April 25, 2022 crash in Dodge County | By Dodge County Sheriff

May 3, 2022 – Dodge Co., WI – On April 25, 2022 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on STHY 60 east of St. Helena Road, in the township of Hustisford.

Initial investigation showed that a 38-year-old male (from Fort Atkinson, WI) was operating a 2020 Dodge Ram pickup truck that was traveling west on STHY 60 near St. Helena Road.  The Dodge traveled over the center roadway line, through the eastbound traffic lane, and onto the south shoulder where it began a clockwise spin. The Dodge struck a culvert, vaulted and overturned.

The male driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Watertown Hospital but transferred by medical helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison, WI.  On 04-28-2022 the male died while at UW Hospital.

The driver has been identified as:  Daniel R. Lewicki, 38, from Fort Atkinson, WI

Assisting at the crash scene were: Neosho Fire Department, Iron Ridge Fire Department, Hustisford Fire Department and First Responders, Watertown Paramedics, Mayville EMS, and Flight for Life helicopter.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Medical Examiner.
