“Washington County Youth Hockey Association (WCYHA) is extremely excited to be partnering with Local Hockey Partners LLC (LHP) and the Milwaukee Power for the next 5 years and beyond,” said Greg Petermann, WCYHA President.

“Having the Power full time at our rink is a huge benefit to all our skaters, coaches and parents.  The hockey knowledge and years of experience inside the Junior level that is coming over with them is a great asset to our association. The West Bend community is a great home for the Power.  We know the city will fully embrace and support the organization, staff, players and coaches and look forward to the years ahead.”

The Power played its first two seasons at Wilson Ice Arena in Milwaukee, but due to COVID and related restrictions, the Power moved to Ozaukee Ice Center (OIC) in 2020 and has played at OIC the past two seasons.

“The opportunity for the Milwaukee Power to have a home in such a passionate, knowledgeable, hockey-rich community like West Bend will be the catalyst for our substantial growth and success not only in the NA3HL but in ultimately completing our LHP vision in bringing a North American Hockey League (NAHL) organization to the Southeastern Wisconsin area in the years ahead,” said Chase Ernst, CEO of LHP and President of the Milwaukee Power.

“I would like to personally thank the Ozaukee Youth Hockey Association (OYHA), OIC and all of our partners, sponsors and fans who have supported us throughout these past two seasons.  We look forward to their continued support as we move to KMIC and West Bend community.”

“The transition to the West Bend hockey community will further establish the Power’s roots within Southeastern Wisconsin,” said Milwaukee Power VP Hockey Operations/General Manager, Kevin Marion.  “Our opponents inside the NA3HL Central Division that played at KMIC this season agree this rink and community make tremendous sense for the growth of the Power.  We’re excited to meet families and the business community in West Bend and get them to our games in the 2022-23 season.”

The Power and WCYHA are big on community, giving back and bringing the game of hockey to as many as possible.

“We are both moving in the right direction and together can take each organization to a higher level.  We plan to create a buzz in West Bend and the surrounding communities, said Adam Leonzal, Vice President of WCYHA.  “Having the Power players connecting with our youth players while helping at practices shows how the Power is invested in the success of WCYHA. We’re looking forward to packing KMIC for Power games and supporting them just like they have done with WCYHA.”

The Milwaukee Power is built to serve the most aspiring, dedicated, hardest-working, character-driven, coachable players looking to take their game to the next levels.  The Power’s purpose is to expose players to the best fundamental and consistent coaching, instruction, training, advice and education inside the NA3HL.  Our emphasis will always be about player development and advancement inside the sport of hockey but ultimately preparing our players for the game of life.
