March 9, 2017 – Dodge Co., WI – An accident that happened last week in neighboring Dodge County has now turned fatal.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department, on March 2, 2017 at 8:35 a.m., the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Highway 33 near Fairfield Road, in the Township of Oak Grove, Dodge County.
Preliminary investigation shows Destiny C. Kogler, 19, from Horicon, was operating a 2000 Buick westbound on State Highway 33 near the intersection with Fairfield Road.
Andrew B. Pritzl, 61, from Lodi, was operating a 1994 Mercedes Benz, which was following a Dodge County plow truck east on Hwy 33.
The Kogler drove onto the right/north shoulder (which was snow covered) and then began to spin in a counter-clockwise direction. Kogler crossed the center roadway line and traveled into the eastbound traffic lane, where it was struck by Pritzl.
Kogler suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit Hospital.  Kogler died this morning at Summit Hospital from injuries suffered in that crash.
Pritzl suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Beaver Dam Hospital.
Assisting at the scene was:Â Beaver Dam Paramedics, Juneau Fire Department and EMS, Flight for Life, and the Dodge County Emergency Response Team.
There is no additional information available for release at this time. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
