West Bend, WI – The Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) presents Vaughan Larsen: Everything I Could Ever Want on view October 13, 2023, through January 14, 2024, at the Downtown Milwaukee – St. Kate’s location, 139 E. Kilbourn, Milwaukee, WI. The Opening Party for this exhibition is Friday, October 13, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Using the camera as a tool of self-inquiry, Vaughan Larsen explores personal perceptions of identity. The Los Angeles–based artist’s pursuit of self-understanding has taken them on an odyssey through landscapes that mirror the curves and bends of both the feminine and masculine. In Los Angeles, the trans-feminine Larsen has begun to weave community members and props into staged portraits to express a sense of inclusion and belonging for all.
