October 28, 2019 – Town of Wayne, WI – Two Campbellsport men, ages 31 and 42, were arrested after the Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigated an injury motorcycle accident this weekend.
The crash occurred on County Trunk D in the Town of Wayne on Sunday evening at 5:53 p.m.
The 31-year-old crashed on the roadway for an unknown reason. He was arrested for first offense drunk driving (second violation). This occurs when a driver has a first offense drunk driving pending and is arrested a second time before a conviction of the first offense.
His riding partner, who stopped at the scene of the accident, was arrested for third offense drunk driving after deputies spoke to him about the first crash.
After being arrested, the operator stated his motorcycle “magically appeared” on the side of the road and he did not drive it there. He later requested another friend remove his motorcycle from the scene and provided the keys that were in his front pocket.
