July 27, 2024 – Fond du Lac Do., Wi -On Saturday, July 27, 2024, at approximately 1:59 p.m., the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received notification from an off-duty Mt. Calvary EMS personnel via radio of a single motorcycle crash on CTH G near Glen Road, in the Township of Forest.
Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene, along with personnel from the St. Cloud Fire Department and Mt. Calvary EMS.
Through investigation, it was determined a group of five motorcyclists were northbound on CTH G. The lead motorcyclist failed to activate his right turn signal while turning on to Glen Road to travel eastbound. This caused one of the motorcyclists to brake abruptly to avoid colliding with the lead motorcycle.
CTH G between Chickadee Dr. and CTH CCC was closed for approximately 30 minutes for emergency crews. The operator of the motorcycle was flown by ThedaStar to ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah for serious injuries. Assisting agencies included Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, St. Cloud Fire Department and Mt. Calvary EMS.
The operator of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet.
The lead motorcyclist was issued a citation for failure to activate signal turn, which contributed to the crash.
At this time, the names of the individuals involved are not being released as the investigation is ongoing by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
