March 29, 2025 -Fond du Lac Co., WI -On Friday, March 28, 2025, the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and City of Fond du Lac Fire Rescue responded to the 600 block of South Main Street for a report of a motorcycle crash.
The investigation into this accident is at the preliminary stages. Initial information provided leads FDLPD Officers to believe that a 26-year-old male Eden (WI) resident was northbound on S. Main Street on a motorcycle and crashed into another northbound vehicle driven by a 67-year-old male Fond du Lac resident.
The 26-year-old was transported to SSM Health (St. Agnes Hospital) by Fire Rescue with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle received no injuries from the crash and is cooperating with law enforcement.
It is with deep sadness that we learned that the 26-year-old died while at the hospital from injuries he suffered from the crash. Chief Aaron Goldstein stated, “Please join the FDLPD in keeping his family and friends in your thoughts during this most difficult time. We are saddened by the tragic loss of a young life in our community.”
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office is assisting FDLPD by conducting an accident reconstruction at the scene. S. Main Street between 15th Street and Guindon Boulevard will remain closed during the accident reconstruction. The investigation into this accident remains under active investigation.
The City of Fond du Lac Police Department was assisted by the City of Fond du Lac Fire Rescue, and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
