The Father’s Day weekend tradition continues as the 33rd annual Kettle Moraine Sport Riders Motorcycle Hill Climb is set for Sunday, June 19.
Participants will be judged on time and distance. Riders with the best score are in the running to become King of the Hill!
“There are two steps in the hill and we actually put those in to make it more difficult because we didn’t just want this to be a race to the top,” said Mike Dricken, a long-time member of the Sport Riders.
Racers starting at the base of the hill face an initial sharp climb of 10 feet. There’s a level segment of 15 feet followed by another sharp step and then the rest of the 300-foot hill.
Gates open 9 a.m., and the first bike goes up the hill at noon.
There’s a $5 admission for adults and children under 12 are free.
Proceeds generated by the Kettle Moraine Sport Riders are distributed to local charities.
