More details are being released on a story you first read at the http://www.washingtoncountyinsider.com regarding an accident Friday afternoon in the 500 block of Highland View Drive.
West Bend police were called to the scene at 4:47 p.m, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crashing into a garage.
Upon officer arrival they located the vehicle that struck the garage with a 45-year-old woman from West Bend behind the wheel still inside the vehicle.
The investigation determined the woman attempted to pull into a neighbor’s driveway three times and the third time came across our lawn and the house.
The woman backed the vehicle out onto the street attempting to park, when she struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. The driver then backed up across the roadway, struck a tree in the city right away, drove forward into a neighboring properties driveway and continued up the driveway striking the garage and a parked unoccupied motor vehicle inside.
The driver was found to be intoxicated, failed the standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI – 3rd Offense.
