Oct. 1, 2018 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend Police Department made the following four arrests for OWI between Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 and Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018.
OWI 7th OFFENSE
Chestnut St. at S. Main St.
On Sunday, September 30, 2018, at 3:47 a.m., a citizen reported observing a male sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the roadway on Chestnut St at S. Main St. West Bend Officers identified the driver, a 48-year-old male from Kansas City MO. Officers observed signs that the man was intoxicated. The man admitted he drove to the location. The man was taken into custody and a search warrant was obtained to get his blood. He was arrested for OWI 7th Offense.

800 Block W. Washington St.
On Friday September 28th, 2018 at 1:17 AM, a West Bend Officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. The driver, a 23 year old female from Hartford showed signs of intoxication, failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .196 in a PBT and was arrested for OWI.

On Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 12:34M, a West Bend Officer stopped a vehicle for erratic driving. The driver, a 37 year old male from Kewaskum showed signs of intoxication, failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .189 in a PBT and was arrested for OWI.
OWI/VEHICLE CRASH
3600 Block W. Washington St.
On Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 8:09 PM, a citizen reported observing a vehicle being driven west on W. Washington St, drive off the roadway. The caller reported the vehicle was airborne for a short distance and then came to a stop in the Charcoal Grill and Rotisserie restaurant parking lot. The vehicle did not strike any other vehicles. The officer investigating the crash identified the driver as a 27 year old female from Hartford. Neither the woman nor an adult male passenger were injured in the crash. The officer observed signs the driver was intoxicated. She failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .241 in a PBT and was arrested for OWI and Operating a Motor Vehicle With a Revoked Driver’s License.
