Oct. 28, 2016 – Jackson, WI – Under the direction of Kate Schaffer with production by Erin Laabs, both Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School teacher, Kettle will be performing its children’s theater starting today – Miss Nelson is Missing.
The audition took place in early August. Preparation was one big key that Schaffer and Laabs took throughout the audition. They looked for people who knew the audition material and could be a good fit for each character. The cast have been practicing on a nightly basis to prepare. “They spent countless hours of dedicated work on this show,” said Schaffer.
Although senior leadership in high school seems to be a dominating trait of many clubs and sport teams, Schaffer feels their group is pretty unique compared to others. “This is a pretty well-balanced group, from freshman to seniors. The cast worked together,” she said.
The performance is Oct. 28-29 at 7 p.m. as well as a 2 p.m. performance on Oct.30 at KML’s PAC. Tickets will be sold at the door beginning 45 minutes before each performance. It’s $6 for adults and $4 for K-12 students and seniors 65+.
“This show is comedy for certain. From kids to adults, wide range of people can definitely enjoy. We hope to see you all in our WACKY classroom!,” said Schaffer.
