West Bend, Wi – Wisconsin government has approved a $3.1 million intersection improvement project along WIS 33 (Washington Street), in the city of West Bend, WI. Work is scheduled to begin April 21.
Intersections Impacted:
This project will make various safety and traffic flow improvements at three (3) intersections along WIS 33 (Washington Street) in the city of West Bend.
- WIS 33 and Main Street/7th Avenue intersection
- WIS 33 and 18th Avenue intersection
- WIS 33 and River Road intersection
Improvements Include:
- Concrete pavement replacement
- Reconfiguration of turn lanes
- Traffic signal replacement
- Concrete curb and gutter, and sidewalk improvements
- Storm sewer modifications
- New pavement marking and signing
Traffic Impacts:
East-west access along WIS 33 (Washington Street) will be maintained during construction.
North-south access across WIS 33 (Washington Street) at the intersections will be limited with posted detours.
Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained.
This project is scheduled for completion in fall 2025. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
