July 28, 2022 – Hartford, WI – At the July 26, 2022, City Council meeting, Mayor
Tim Michalak proclaimed this Friday, July 29, 2022, as Mike Hermann Day in Hartford, WI.
The pronouncement was unanimously approved by the City Council in recognition of Parks and Rec Director Mike Hermann’s 38-1/2-year career in Hartford which is coming to an end on Friday upon his retirement.

Mike was responsible for many major projects in the City including the creation of the new Hartford Rec Center building on Rural Street back in 2000, along with Washington
County’s biggest and best aquatic center, the Veteran’s Memorial Aquatic Center, in 2016.
Mike was also instrumental in making major improvements to local parks along with
designing the new Centennial Park, which will be done in 2023.
Congratulations Mike on a career in public service to improve the quality of life for residents in Hartford.
