March 22, 2021 – West Bend, WI – It is officially Spring. It happened over the weekend.. with very little fanfare.
Signs of spring are cropping up in my yard. How about you? The crocus are impressive; so small and colorful and mighty to be able to weather the cool nights.
A portion of a Poem by Emily Dickinson is below
The feet of people walking home
With gayer sandals go-
The Crocus-till she rises
The Vassal of the snow-
The lips at Hallelujah
Long years of practise bore
Till bye and bye these Bargemen
Walked singing on the shore.
Emily Dickinson, 1858–#7
