January 8, 2023 – St. Lawrence, WI – Snowmobile racing reached new heights this weekend as Midwest Snocross Series completed its second-ever Hartford Race.
Midwest Snocross Inc. President Dan Schmitz said the Hartford Race reached a record 194 racers on Saturday, which was also a circuit record.
Schmitz expected more than 150 racers on Sunday, Jan. 8, at a specially made ½-mile track just north of the St. Lawrence industrial park off Hwy K on Wildlife Road.
Schmitz said more than half the racers are younger than 18. Some are just 4 years old.
Midwest Snocross was founded in 2021 and ran a Hartford Race in December 2021.
Other Midwest Snocross races this year are in Winter, Plymouth, Wausau in Wisconsin, and Ironwood, Mich. Midwest will hold a second Hartford Race February 4 and 5.
