Change needed as Meagan Wolfe’s term on WEC expires June 30, 2023 | By Rep. Ty Bodden

Madison, WI – State Representative Ty Bodden (R-Stockbridge) released the following
statement regarding Meagan Wolfe, the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) Administrator:

Meagan

“Administrator Meagan Wolfe’s tenure has been a disaster to our state elections. As her term comes to an end on June 30, 2023, it is imperative that the Senate does not confirm her for another term.

“Instead, we must appoint someone who can effectively carry out the responsibilities of the
position with integrity. Unfortunately, given our current governor, we are left with the Wisconsin Elections Commission to manage our elections. We need a capable individual in charge of WEC who will abide by the law and work towards restoring trust in our election process.”

Wolfe’s failures include neglecting to update the voter rolls, providing illegal guidance on ballot drop boxes and the curing of ballots, interfering with investigations, and allowing illegal voting in nursing homes without the presence of special voting deputies during the 2020 election.

“I am encouraged to know that there are many senators who share my belief that she is
unsuitable for another term.”
