City officials in Mayville are hoping the city will be eligible for state disaster aid following last week’s flooding.
Officials said if the city reaches $18,600 in damage costs it may be eligible for the aid.
Dodge County Sheriffs reported heavy rains caused a lot of localized flooding on Sept. 7 forcing the evacuation of two schools including St. John’s Lutheran and Parkview Primary.
Volunteers and fire responders spent hours sand bagging to protect the schools from high water.

The total costs are still being calculated. The city’s public schools escaped flooding damage.
