Former Washington County Sheriff’s deputy Mary Woerner receiving her Lifetime Achievement Award presented at the D.A.R.E. conference on August 9 in Oshkosh.
Woerner worked the D.A.R.E. program for years in schools across Washington County.
The award was presented to Woerner by the president of the Wisconsin D.A.R.E. Officers Association.
Woerner thanked everyone, talked about going into the private sector and said she understood law enforcement was working in a really difficult time.
