Washington Co., WI – Five years ago, on March 13, 2017, visibility was extremely limited in Washington County as a late-season snowstorm pushed through the area.
Here’s a quick video of a recognizable location in the county. Can you identify it within 22 seconds before the answer appears?
Many motorists traveled with their headlights on at 10 a.m. as the storms pushed through.
Arlene Kuehl was a crossing guard in West Bend that day. “Quite a few moms and their vehicles got stuck in the snow by Decorah School,” she said. “The dads got out to help rock them free.”
Kuehl pointed out we were 7 days from spring. “We’ve already seen a couple of robins already,” she said. “I consider this just a wake-up call from Mother Nature.”
Washington County received a strong amount of measurable snow. Randy Koehler submitted this photo of 9 inches of snow on the southeast side of West Bend off River Road and Paradise Drive.
