Man rescued from Fond du Lac River early Wednesday morning has died | By Bob Nelson

 

Nov. 1, 2017 – Fond du Lac, WI – A 57-year-old Fond du Lac man died at St. Agnes Hospital after being rescued from the Fond du Lac River early Wednesday morning.

Fond du Lac Police and Fire and Rescue were sent to the river at the dead end of John Street for a report of an intoxicated man in the river.

Authorities said he was in water up to his chest. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein said the man was pulled from the water and rescuers began life-saving measures.

Temperatures overnight were in the low 30s. The time of the rescue call was 2:53 a.m.

The incident remains under investigation.
