In partnership with the Lomira School District, the Dodge County Sheriff sent additional deputies to the schools to ensure the safety of staff, students, and the public.
“We worked with federal agencies to determine if there was any credible threat involved and found numerous other schools in other states had received this message in the previous days,” said Sheriff Dale Schmidt. “All investigations found there to be no credible threat.”
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is committed to investigating these types of incidents quickly and thoroughly while at the same time giving peace of mind to students, teachers, and parents with extra presence at the school.
“If individuals are identified, they will be held accountable for their actions,” said Schmidt. “Anything done that threatens or jeopardizes the safety of our schools will always result in serious consequences.”
