Letter to the Editor | Vote April 1 West Bend School Board, WI Supreme Court, WI School Superintendent, Voter ID | By Cameron Merkel

March 25, 2025 West Bend, WI – “Neighbors, Friends, and Relatives, I urge you to vote on or before April 1st for incumbent, Melanie Ehrgott, for the West Bend School Board.
Letter to the Editor
As a mother of five, she understands the balance of family and community whilst ensuring the best education for every student. Her dedication to the well-being of students and her commitment to making thoughtful, informed decisions for our schools make her an excellent choice for our Board. Her accomplishments must not go unnoticed.
As the incumbent, Melanie has served on the Board as the Clerk for the last two years and has chaired the Curriculum Committee for the past three. In addition, the Board elected her to serve as its liaison to the Washington County Head Start Policy Council for the past two years. These are only a few of her accomplishments.
Over the years, I have come to know her professionally and as a friend. Melanie truly is one of the most kind and genuine people you will meet. I admire her work around the book clubs, which includes working with the Curriculum Committee to create transparency and set thresholds in the areas of graphic violence, sexual content, and profanity. Anytime I have had a question on any issue, she has consistently provided thorough answers, striving for full transparency in all communications. Although I could not vote for her at the time due to my age, I fully supported her campaign three years ago. I am excited and proud to vote for her in this upcoming election. Please join me in voting for Melanie Ehrgott for the West Bend School Board.

Additionally, do not forget to vote for Brad Schimel for WI Supreme Court, Brittany Kinser for Superintendent of Public Instruction, and YES on Voter ID.

Thank you.

Cameron Merkel
