Dec. 22, 2016 – West Bend, WI – New responsibilities for several community hospital leaders at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network reflect the organization’s focus on delivering cost-effective care in a variety of settings. The promotions take effect Jan. 1, 2017.
The role of Allen Ericson, currently president of Froedtert & MCW St. Joseph’s Hospital, will expand to include president of the Froedtert & MCW health network’s community hospital division management team. Ericson will lead the team overseeing operations at both Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls and St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend. He will retain his responsibilities as president of St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Teri Lux, RN, currently vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for the community hospital division, will become president of Community Memorial Hospital and chief operating officer of the community hospital division.
In addition, two other nursing leaders will take on new roles in the health network’s community hospital division. Shelly Waala, RN, will assume Lux’s current role as vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer. Waala is currently executive director of patient care services. Deb McCann, RN, currently the director of critical care and emergency services, will step into Waala’s current role as executive director of patient care services.
“These promotions support the strong growth of our health network and our emphasis on providing the right care in the right place,” said Dennis Pollard, president of Froedtert & MCW Community Memorial Hospital and the health network’s community hospital division. Pollard is also executive vice president and chief operating officer for Froedtert Health.
The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
It comprises eastern Wisconsin’s only academic medical center, Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee; Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls; and St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend.
