Jan. 6, 2019 – Washington Co., WI – The Lady Wildcats came out strong on Saturday, Jan. 5, against UW-Eau Claire at Barron County, at JustAGame fieldhouse.
The team worked hard to execute plays and communicate better. The addition of a seventh player helped the overall energy of the Lady Wildcats gameplay, leaving them with a lead going into halftime.
The second half brought new challenges for the Lady Wildcats, integrating a man-to-man defense into their normal zone defense.
By the third quarter, the Lady Wildcats slowed their offense, and focused on execution. They finished the game with a 59-32 win.
Greta Strasser lead the team in scoring with 16 points including three made shots from behind the arc. Kayla Boehm contributed 13 points and 22 rebounds, and Sammie Brown added another 9 points.
