Hartford, WI – Krebs Pleasant View Farms, 4680 Kettle Moraine Road, in Hartford, WI, has finished garlic clean-up and will kick off its selling season at the Hartford Farmers Market on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Join us for fresh garlic and more.
Despite a rainy season, the garlic at Krebs Pleasant View Farms is fresh, aromatic, and stands out for its quality and flavor, and we cannot wait to share it with our community.
This year marks the 9th season the garlic farm has been in business. “We are more committed than ever to making it our most successful year yet,” said owner Lisa Stuht. “The weather presented challenges, but our dedicated family worked tirelessly to ensure the garlic crop remained healthy and vibrant.”
In addition to premium garlic, Krebs Pleasant View Farms has gourmet garlic powder for sale. “We are also excited we have teamed up with another local garlic producer to offer black garlic to enhance even more dishes,” Stuht said.
Many wonder why fresh garlic from local farms is superior to store-bought options. The secret lies in the freshness and handling.
“Store-bought garlic often undergoes lengthy storage and transportation, diminishing its flavor and nutritional value,” Stuht said. “Fresh garlic, harvested and sold directly by local farms, retains its rich taste, potent aroma, and health benefits. It contains higher levels of allicin, the compound responsible for its renowned health properties, including anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting effects.”
“We invite everyone to visit us at the Hartford Farmers Market this Saturday to experience the difference for themselves,” Stuht said. “Whether you’re a garlic enthusiast or new to incorporating it into your dishes, our fresh garlic will enhance your culinary creations.”
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Krebs Pleasant View Farms open house, 4680 Kettle Moraine Road, in Hartford, WI, on Saturday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tour the locally owned farm and learn more about farming practices, enjoy some farm-fresh garlic, and connect with fellow garlic lovers.
Come for a coffee and stay for delicious lunch options from a local nonprofit organization and do some shopping with local vendors.
