March 16, 2022 – New Ulm, MN – Martin Luther College sophomore women’s basketball player Jordyn Heckendorf was named Honorable Mention All-UMAC (Upper Midwest Athletic Conference) at the end of the 2021-2022 season.
Heckendorf, a Kewaskum resident and a 2020 graduate of Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School (KML) earned the honor after leading the Knights in points (11.8), assists (2.6) and steals (1.5) per game during the season.
During UMAC play, the 5’5” starting point guard averaged 11.1 points per game and also led the team in assists (38), steals (23), free throws made (34), and attempted (40) as the Knights finished sixth in the final league standings.

Heckendorf saved her best stretch of the season for last as she scored in double figures in each of the Knights’ final six games, including a career-high 26 points and 14 rebounds in a near-upset of conference-champion Northwestern in the regular-season finale on February 19.
