Kettle Moraine Lutheran’s cross country team – boys varsity took second and girls varsity got third as a team at the Flyway Conference reunion meet at the River Bend Park, Horicon on Thursday, Sept. 22.
There were 14 schools competing including Kettle Moraine Lutheran, Campbellsport, Saint Lawrence Seminary, and others.
Freshman Austin Schaff opened strong coming in third in the varsity boys race with a time of 17:47.
Ten seconds later, freshman Jacob Stoltz came in as 5th. Junior Micah Dykema also medaled by being in the top 20 runners.
In the girls race freshman Naomi Gahan, juniors Abby Miller and Amelia Wedward, and senior Emmalie Olsen all medaled by being one of the top 20 runners of all varsity girls.
Overall the Chargers pulls out another strong victory by bringing nine medals home.
KML’s next competes at the Mukwonago Invite at Mukwonago High School on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 4 p.m.
