KML cross country finishes strong at Mukwonago Invite

Kettle Moraine Lutheran’s cross country teams finished strong at the Mukwonago Invite on Thursday, Sept. 29.

Girls varsity took fourth and boys varsity took eighth as a team. There were 14 schools competing including Kettle Moraine Lutheran, Waterford, New Berlin West, and others.

KML junior Catherine Miller started strong coming in seventh for the varsity girls with a season record of 20:06.7.

Freshman Naomi Gahan and senior Emmalie Olsen came in 16th and 20th, they  also medaled by being one of the top 20 runners of all varsity girls.

Overall, the Chargers challenged themselves and pulled out another strong finish.

Head coach Tim Kuehl said, “We challenged ourselves. There were many schools competing which run for State and I am very proud of how our team pushed it through and battled. Great to see how our kids bring another win home after their dedicated teamwork.”

KML’s next run will be at Lomira Invite at the Lomira High School on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 4:30 p.m.
