May 24, 2017 – West Bend, WI – Kim Nielsen is the recipient of the St. Frances Cabrini Exemplary Service Award. Here are some of the things Principal Aaron Hilts said as he presented it at the Awards Assembly on Friday.

This award is not something that is presented every year. Instead it is presented when there is someone who meets the qualifications.

This award was started years ago to honor a wonderful woman named Shirley Weasler, a devoted mother and loving wife, whose six children all attended school here. She was described by a close friend as “an angel on earth.” In order to help honor her wonderful spirit and true dedication to helping others, the Exceptional Service Award was created.

The person we honor today is very much like Shirley. She is always around – helping in the office, filling in for after care, providing support to Cabrini in so many ways. She has given her time effortlessly throughout the building whenever asked. Our school’s mission is: To educate by recognizing, developing and nurturing our gifts to bring Christ to the World. Kim certainly embodies our school’s mission.

Congratulations Kim!
